Hear the first few notes from a tune and you are transported straight back to when you first heard it – sound familiar?

That happened to me today as I rediscovered a long lost band – Avion.

I used to play the bands music while working as an announcer on student radio station Radio Massey back in the mid 1980′s.

The tune celebration is simply fantastic and very uplifting – do I sound like I’m raving?

There is a MySpace page set up to remember the band but first check out the thread on the Australian Music History website for a good primer.
