When Content Management Systems Fail..
I’m fascinated when content management systems go bad.
Take a look at this screen shot taken from the NZ Herald online.
They have reported the first three confirmed cases of Swine Flu in New Zealand.
This story broke around 9pm Tuesday evening and the results were widely expected that evening (good or bad).
Look at the update time for the story – 6.31pm ..err. come again?!
My guess is someone has either failed to manually update the slug when they modified the story or the system has ‘had a moment’ and failed to automatically do it when the story was updated.
Either way for a ‘breaking news’ story on one of the countries most popular news websites – it’s not a good look.
