Jackson brings down the internet

For several hours as folks first strove to hear the news of Jackson’s death then reacted to it by posting, blogging etc. the Internet slowed significantly. Sites like TMZ.COM and the LA Times fielded massive increases in the number of hits and slowed to a halt. I like this artists take on the Twitter ‘fail whale’

Pandemic Planning

Well today we are off to stock up the cupboards with food and other provisions if we need to hunker down during the flu pandemic. I’ve noticed already stocks of some basic items are a little thin on the shelves. My pick – give it three weeks and some will be glad they acted now.
