Office 2010 – First Impressions

Today I have installed the technical preview of Office 2010 using Microsoft’s new ‘click to run’ technology – so far so good.

The interfaces for Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. have a clean and clear look to their layout with a reworked interface that while being tweaked is still familiar to users of Office 2007 or previous iterations.

Of interest is the use of virtualization technologies used to deploy and run the applications on.

Early days but first impressions thus far are very positive!
