Tim was an engaging and entertaining speaker who ran the audience through the various features available on his ever-popular website LibraryThing.

The power of harnessing user generated content using collaborative effort and aided by easy to use online tools was obvious to all.

Tim spoke of the site in terms of climbing the social cataloguing ladder.

He talked about users climbing the ladder. Ascent of the ladder means more altruism, cooperation, more social.. there’s also a similar ladder for libraries.

The concept of flash mobs for cataloguing was covered along with tips for libraries to leverage off the power of the LibraryThing service.
