Are blogs dying or am I just lazy?

The answer I think is yes to both.

If it weren’t for the WordPress app I have just installed on my iPad I may have not gotten around to writing this short post.

Well….that and the fact that after looking about the webscape lately I’ve been reminded just by visiting a number of sites just how quickly blogs can go ‘bad’ when the author forgets or just simply gives up on posting anything new..

And it’s not (I think) because they have lost the love of blogging it’s just they blog elsewhere now – you may have heard of it it’s called Facebook.

So is Facebook doing to blogging what file-sharing did to the music industry?

The answer all depends on your perspective of what ‘progress’ means to you and at this stage I’m unsure.

I do tend to think there’s a nice space for both to coexist happily but perhaps it’s going to take some time before the average ‘Joe or Jane user’ decides they would like to have an online voice that’s not just rested in one virtual space.
