For several hours as folks first strove to hear the news of Jackson’s death then reacted to it by posting, blogging etc. the Internet slowed significantly. Sites like TMZ.COM and the LA Times fielded massive increases in the number of hits and slowed to a halt. I like this artists take on the Twitter ‘fail whale’

The sabre rattling from North Korea is a worrying turn of events – nice to see some humor come from it.
